Yahoo is a platform

Tim Oren confims what most of us know already - Yahoo wants to be a Web 2.0 platform.  Not too far of a stretch on that one.

Jeffrey MacManus showed lots of new APIs and talked about receiving data - as well as being able to let people read data.  This is key - for what we’re (BBM) is doing - at least.  Yahoo is assembling an incredible portfolio of APIs - if you consider Flickr, UpComing and del.icio.us as well.

Certainly a reason to go to their party in Austin on Friday - 5-7.

I for one have been waiting 5 years for MyMyYahoo - ever since Mikel Maron did a hack called MyRadio.

Marc, have you seen this article I published recently, which paints a picture of a unified, more connected web from an interaction design perspective, and predicting that Yahoo is placed to be the next dominant force?
