I explained to my youngest child Lucy that she got to celebrate BOTH Hanukkah and X-Mas (along with her friend Athena - who also comes from a mixed religion family.) Then she asked if the other kids in her Jewish pre-school also got to celebrate X-mas and I told her no and she started to cry.
“But Lucy, baby Jesus was born on X-Mas and Jews don’t celebrate that.” “Why not?” she wailed!
Well maybe now that we have a mixed race president who’s a Christian named Obama means that Jews can celebrate X-mas. I guess the only issue is “can Christians play Dreydl and eat gold coins?”
You see - for Lucy Hanukkah is all about the chocolate gold coins.
Watching Babylon burn has actually been kind of fun for me. I can’t think of a better group of people who get what they deserve. Hopefully golden parachutes and huge executive bonuses will be outed and become the venomous practice it really is.
And the Detroit autmakers ALL need to be fired and put out of business. The shame of it is that it’ll effect so many American jobs. And what’s the story on the lithium battery factories. No one could figure out that maybe - just maybe - having state-of-the-art batteries MIGHT be a good idea?
Apparently the Chinese are building like 50 of these things.
And we can’t even get decent cell phone coverage in downtown SF!
These capitalists are incompetent!
So much for ranting this morning - now onto College football.
And getting allot of work done, during the break - when all those capitalists have to rest up for the coming nuclear winter.
