Marc's Voice

building the open web one bit at a time

Been here four months

gears-working-together

I’m starting to grok NEO

Lower my expectations, slow down, don’t expect anybody to call back - for weeks - and even when they smile, assume that……

This place reminds me of Japan.  They’d sit there and nod their heads and smile - but what they were saying was “yes!  I hear sound going into my head.” Not “I agree.”

So 2010 is gonna be a demo year. The year where I show NEO (North Eastern Ohio) what can be done with PeopleAggregator, PagesPlus, a wiki and some compunction for change.

Should be fun.

PagesPlus - for those of you who aren’t hip to it - is Paolo Valdemarin’s (and eVector’s)  incredible aggregation engine/page layout system.  We’re gonna use it for personalized news pages.  Build your own Huffington Post.

  1. Welcome to our frustrating world, Marc. The song says this about New York, but it works for Cleveland, too: “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere.”
