Doesn’t matter to me, I can’t remember the last time I read any News Corp content on-line anyway. But I’ll predict that deal will go down as one of the most astronomically stupid things to do - in the history of the web.
No amount of Microsoft money, Jason Calalcanis insider games or Murdoch stupidity will change the open web.
And speaking of stupid, back stabbing, lying entities - congrats to LinkedIn for finally opening up their site - what is it? 25 months after promising to do so? Who do they think we are? How stupid do they take us?
Probably should have taken this offline, but who would have put up Jason to do that? Do you think he knows Murdoch?
Or could it have been that someone at MSFT was reading/listening and jumped at the chance to claim the idea?
That would have been my (outsiders’s) guess. I do agree with you about the potential deal.
