Why would you trust RockMelt? What Netscape do for us?  Didn’t Netscape abandon end-users, focus on enterprise and then blame their demise by scapegoating Microsoft?  Did Netscape 4 deserve our support or loyalty?  And what has Ning done to help us understand the very phenomena that it is monetizing - the growth of vertical niche social networks? So I wouldn’t be holding my breath giving loyalty or respect to RockMelt - it’s yet another Andreessen vehicle…..

Congrats to JanRain on some VC cash!

The Evolution of Blogging - it’s nice to see someone recognize Dave’s contributions

EMI is by far, the most inept music label there is.  Not only have they squandered any attempt at going on-line, but they just seeded their future to Amazon.

  1. I think you’re definately right about the loyalty factor. Facebook should definately be more loyal if it wants to keep its “loyal” users.
