Goodbye California
After 21 years the pool is closed, we’re packing our boxes and we’re outa here.
Over the years I’ve been privileged to work with a lot of people. Roger Jones - the photographer of this shot - was the first. Roger was an early employee at MacroMind, helped me build MediaBand, Mediabar and our AOL work. I’ve watched Roger (and his wife Susan’s) kids being raised along with mine and he’s one of the guys I’ll miss.
Marc sorry to see you leave the Bay area. Would love to know the background for this decision. I am also curious if this says anything about the continued influence of the valley for tech.
About 4 years ago I arrived in the bay and I was lucky to bump into you a few times. I am now based full time in Scotland but I hope we meet soon in the bay or at a conference. Enjoy your move ‘home’. James
