Mid March blogging ‘09
Here’s the video of the panel we did last week at Mix09. It was moderated by Dare Obasanjo (Microsoft), and included Kevin marks (Google), Luke Shepard (Facebook), Monica Keller (MySpace), John McCrea (Plaxo) and myself. This unprecedented level of conversation and support of open principles is what’s driving our industry forward. We got some great questions from the audience as well. Though Activity Streams were the main topic of the panel, we also covered access privileges, user’s demand for openness and the politics of it all.
Meanwhile Microsoft rolled out a whole series of ‘open source’ partnerships, including with Drupal and Wordpress. Facebook and Google have awoken the sleeping giant. Here we go!
Hulu is now #4. How long did that take? What’s gonna happen when the other TV networks figure out what Hulu did? And the studios themselves? And the music labels? And Broadway? And Mumbai?
