heading to Vegas blogging ‘09
For the fourth year in a row I’m headed to Vegas for Mix09. See you there. It looks like Dare is into it!
Congrats to Max Engel, Jason Oberfest and Monica Keller on the release of MySpaceID. Its got all the right features, it’s connected to Yahoo and…… it’s all about ‘open is the new black!’ Who’d a thought years ago that MySpace would be doing this!
I’m sure Michael Arrington is pushing Jason Kincaid in his negative treatment of MySpaceID - but I say that only until multiple platforms are open, can we really start to prove the value of openess to vendors, as well as users. MySpace hooking up with Yahoo is a perfect example of that! Open is not just another fad or buzzword du jour!
Cisco is throwing money around - and some folks are catching it!
I love the notion of reverse network effect.
I can’t believe are complaining about the new Facebook UI. It rocks, it normalizes and it provides an integrated, aggregated viewpoint of my digital lifestyle. At least with one posse - which is itself an aggregate of like 10 lives. Welcome to the present folks.
Two new episodes of theSocialWeb.tv:
- “Joe Hewitt on Facebook Connect for the iPhone”
Can’t wait to see Nova Spivack’s tool

One thing I don’t like about the Facebook UI is now it inserts one’s picture throughout comment threads, as if we’re going to comment on everything. It interrupts my flow of reading FB comments.
