Blogging from London - July ‘08
Since I spell my name with a C at the end, I’ve had close affinity with Marc Chagall since I was a young boy - for a number of reasons. His imagery denotes a certain Jewish Existential reality and he did a mural in Chicago at the 1st National Bank which I videotaped the unveiling of and turned into a documentary - back in the early 70’s when I was in high school.
Producing a video documentary with a porta-pack back in ‘73 was a trip and Chagall was there himself with the old Mayor Daley and the children’s choir - which I was soloist in - sang at the unveiling ceremonies as well. Chagall also did a stained glass at the Art Institute of Chicago - where I went to school - so I have lots of ‘connects’ into Chagall and his work.
Yesterday was Chagall day on Google.
Tee Hee heee - I got a little carried away at the London Review Coffee shop.
Trending topics = fluid conversations - so lets try and make these conversations persistent and re-entrant!
Spell his name right - it’s F-E-L-D-M-A-N - and it’s up to 159 comments already. I think this is called marketing.
