The Worker’s Holiday

May 1st is still a holiday in some countries - though the new Prime Minister of Italy won’t be wearing red today.

Good luck to Sezmi - I like the idea of using digital TV spectrum to route around both cable and satellite!  Now the question is “how interactive can it be?”

Meanwhile my one sided blogosphere conversation is still lonely and one sided. This proves that when you attack some unsuspecting PR lady - you can get reaction, but asking a jaded billionaire a question will probably go ignored.

I just don’t see what Yahoo’s board has anything to do with smoking marijuana.  I personally was turned down by Jerry Yang when I offered him some.  And this is so typical of Silicon Valley people to use smoking marijuana as an excuse why someone doesn’t have their head on straight.  While these drunks continue to slug down their alcohol - but no one uses alcohol as an excuse why they make stupid decisions! In fact the problem was that Yahoo WASN’T smoking enough dope over the last few years!

Open Screen project = further lock-in. Now we KNOW that Adobe is scared of Silverlight!  And I wonder why NOW they’re opening up their file format.

The first Silverlight mobile client = Seesmic

The Ministry of Openness

Joel Spolsky is complaining about Astronaut Architects - like Ray Ozzie. He claims that sending people to the moon never helped anybody.  Hmm - lets see Joel.  Ever looked inside your computer?  How did those chips get invented and built?  For who?  Washing machines?  And that Internet thingie you’re sending your blog posts out on?  Where did that come from?  And oh - Joel.  Thank goodness Ray isn’t the only Astronaut Architect out there.  I’d be honored to be called that.   You’re right Joel - Hailstorm was an abortion - but the mesh won’t be.  And when I say mesh - I’m NOT talking about Microsoft’s mesh - but ours.  Though they are more than welcome to mesh their mesh into our mesh.

Initial feedback from Engadget on the Psystar Open Computer.

Scarey shit = fully robotized warfare.  A fascists wet dream.  I wonder if these people ever saw Terminator?
