Lots of people are going googley over FriendFeed. Why did I choose that verb? Cause FriendFeed was founded by ex-Googlers. Tying into their API could be very coolio - btu once again - once you rely upon some otehr vendor’s infrastructure - you’re hooked to that tit - for life!

Lets take a poll - “how many years late is Adobe Photoshop Express?” They finally figured out that an on-line version fo Photoshop was important. I wonder how much they spent on market research, consultants and focus groups to make that decision? I seem to remember asking John Warnock for that 10 years ago.

Congrats to our Indian partner Tekriti on having their travel site - TravelBoutique named amongst the NASSCOM Top 100 Innovators. Gaurav, Manish and Ashish (and their team of 60 people) work these asses off. I can highly recommend them!

I agree with Leander - Apple is truly an evil company. Take it from somebody who taken the brunt of that negativity - over and over again. Despite all the things we did for Apple - they were constantly trying to put us out of business.

Marshall Kirkpatrick (as usual) is asking all the right questions about OpenSocial. Pretty lively set of comments - as well.

Looks like my buddy Matt McAllister gets to move to London (where his wife is from) and work for teh Guardian. I bet Jemima will give him a hearty welcome! And Congrats to Matt!

My condolences to Boing Boing - my how the mighty have fallen. Only worth a measly $8M bucks. But congrats to Richard MacManus - $5M ain’t bad for a Kiwi sitting in a room in Wellington! God don’t you hate these stupid lists and these stupid awards that everyone loves giving to themselves!
