Google getting played like a fine violin?
As many of the prvate emails and public comments have inclinated - it seems that this press release from the Republicans is - well it’s Republicans acting like Republicans.
Throughout the smear campaigns of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s - the Republicans have shown a consistent abilty to lie, twist truth, steal elections, subvert democracy and in general - well act like Republicans.
It seems that Google does business with the Democrats as much as the Republicans and that there is NO endorsement, picking sides or any sort of partisan-ism going on here. Suckers like me read this release and interpreted differently.
And then like any good blogger - we reprinted the lies - adding to further confusion and FUD.
So my apologies to Google.
But the ONLY way to counteract lies is with truth - so I sure hope that Eric Schmidt and other high level Googlers straighten this shit out. Cause I was actually starting to like Google - except for the GMail Contacts/broo hah hah - which me and Steve Gillmor are still waiting to get clarified on.

“Suckers like me” - Highlight of the post! You run a tiny unheard of company that is probably just a way to bring attention to your blog. Blogging is just a tool for those who can’t cut it in the tech community to act as an “evangelist” or “luminary” or whatever word underperformers use to sound like an expert on something.

Whether they endorse Republicans or Democrats, once again, Google gives them access to their technology, to your searches on the internet, your ideas, desires, curiosities, projections. Adwords applied to politics, be them liberal or neoconservative, it’s still SURVEILLANCE and that is a danger for you privacy, your integrity, your information. A political panopticon, which can be avoided, thanks to tools such as TOR, SCROOGLE and the like.
