Marc's Voice

building the open web one bit at a time

I’m now officially a Super Techie

supertechie-med.jpgThanks to Dan Farber - now the editor-in-Chief of all of CNet - for doing this great interview.

I especially like the fact that there was some post production done - so it actually looks like it was done by real professionals, rather than bloggers.

This is a great example of the difference between bloggers and professional media - post-production!

Anyway - another one of the ages. My grandkids will appreciate this. I had my :15, now I have my Super Techie interview.

What next?

Dinner with Steve Jobs?

Investment fromWoz?

Snowball fights with Ballmer?

Partying with Dvorak?

I think its a bit more than just postproduction - its also good production both on sound and vision (multicameras). It means you’re able to get your passion over much better than something that Scoble might film at a conference. Great that these guys captured the passion in this way.

  4. Marc,

Great Stuff!! Didn’t know you touched so much tech history. Knew your role in Macromedia but the games were a surprise. I remember playing them in my younger days at the local arcade and 7-11.

pre- or post- production aside, I thoroughly enjoyed this interview, it’s just great content. Nice to revisit 20 yrs of our tech past (perhaps we don’t do it enough), which makes me look forward to the things you’re working on the present. All this, and being interviewed by the new king of tech journalism.

  10. Hell, I’ve know you for like 15 years, and I didn’t know you worked on Spy Hunter. I LOVE Spy Hunter - one of my favorite games ever. I just bought a copy for my DS.

Nice interview - funny how much proper head space/look space, some minimal camera moves and written intro with handful of effects that you can do on a laptop makes that much difference.

  37. I am impresses with understanding of organizational strategy and what your business is about.
You also seem to have a good view of product life-cycle and migration.
    Keep smiling.
