Rounding out the year - blogging

Hey folks - its been a great year and next year will be even better. I appreciate the feedback I get from everyone - keep it coming.

Not sure how I missed this - I must have been on the road.  Facebook Platform details.   Dare’s got some good insights on all this.  I don’t see no social graph access!

The OpenSocial puzzle is unfolding = Universal Activity Streams

Speaking of Dare - he’s got some great insights into Amazon’s SimpleDB shortcomings.

Facebook friends - but when will they ‘fix’ networks?

Nic Carlson should dig deeper.  What was the name of Roger MacNamee’s FIRST ego band?

Congrats on Dave winning his five year bet.   Now - what’s the next five year bet?

“Hey Josh Catone” - I can give you an update on MySpace’s support of OpenSocial.  This corporate drone was at LeWeb3 and he said “blah blah blah” - especially when I asked him about opening up their social graph.

“Yes Mark” - there really are various levels of friendship.  That’s why PeopleAggregator provides for five.

Hmmm - I need to track down somebody from ‘the Economist’

Windows Home Media, IPTV and HD DVD = Connected TV

Kango: semantic search for travel

Congrats to the people of Slovenia. Now you can enter Gorizia and visit eVectors offices without having to go through a border control.  Maybe Paolo will learn Slovenian now?

Cloud services like Weave, OS layers like HaDoop and Amazon’s new SimpleDB database service are providing the infrastructure we need for the distributed web.

Actually I think the world should have 100 Twitter clones - each with it’s own attitude, feature set and target market.  What would unite them all together?  A DNS for people/social graph - of course! An open social graph!  Why lock yourself into Twitter and help Evan Williams make another fortune?  Why can’t we help get Leah rich - as well?
