What a JOKE! Yahoo is adding a Facebook module to MyYahoo - yet they still can’t figure out how to a) add their own social networks or b) open up MyYahoo - this is getting pathetic guys! You told me you’d open up MyYahoo by X-Mas - you just didn’t say which year!
I had dinner with the Vidoop guys last night (thanks Sylvia.) Their system seems pretty coolio!
Anything involving Heroes - is coolio by my book.
Placing the user at the center of identity.
One sure sign of an inner facing navel gazing, self congratulatory industry is LOTS of awards. Add one more. And even one more after that.
I agree with Dave - if $20,000 can go so far, what could $100,000 or $500,000 do? Maybe this is what Pierre Omidyar should havce been spending his money on? Or Mark Cuban.
Is it me - or does Bug Labs seem like white labeled hardware? I think they used to call that OEM. But needless to say VCs today don’t invest in white label anything (or at least they use that excuse to blow you off) - so they just go and in vent a new term. Go Fred Go!
Ever get the idea that Megan McCarthy likes to drink? Must be that she’s Irish.
Looks like they’re cleaning house at Motorola.
Coolio - a Google set top box. Totally.
Congrats to the folks at Beliefnet
Cross platform anything is a good thing. That’s what we did at MacroMind.

marc - i hope that bug is a lot more than “white label hardware” for several reasons
1 - there’s an entire open source development environment/community called BUGnet built around the hardware
2 - anyone can build a bugbase or bug module. the hardware is open source too.
3 - the hardware has a physical connection system (think legos) as well as a i/o system
i’d love to get you one so you can play with it.
