My wife has gone to a woodwind quintet rehearsal (she’s a Basoonist) - so here I am, got the kids to sleep and so now I have some time to blog……

But no - its not 100 degrees out, 95% humidity and I’ve just finished a 30 hour rampage. Though at times - I have been known to do that.

I’m thinking about doing something different for our panel at LeWeb3. The topic is hot, the people are hot - but that’s not good enough. Too many panels are just too boring. Maybe we’ll all stand up, and use cue cards to vote on what each other saying - in real-time.

I’ve been thinking allot about SocialAds, OpenSocial and how to bust it all wide open. More on this later.

But for now- there’s always “Google stops shipping products, starts shipping FUD” I guess Dare wasn’t disclosed on what’s coming next. I bet he’ll be pleased!

Its great to see Om Mailk talk about Web 2.0 companies actually making money. We’ve been practicing that notion - for years. Gone are the days of Fred Wilson funding companies like de.licio.us exclaiming “we’ll figure out the model - later”. I guess they never did figure out a model for de.licio.us - huh?

This new Ford/Microsoft car that Walt Mossberg reviewed seems really hot! DLAs are making it into the car!

MeThinks Tim O’Reilly must have stock in SixApart. He’s asking Amazon to buy them - strictly for the Open APIs and David Recordan (I guess.) Tim’s little missive on why OpenSocial isn’t enough - won’t make it onto my list of important posts on OpenSoical - but I thought I’d blog it here - cause Tim needs more money. Clearly. Getting Jeff Bezos to buy 6A would get Joi and Barak off the hook, make David Hornik happy and let Mena and Ben put that baby through college. I just gotta wonder would they keep Anil around?

I guess Marc A. doesn’t have to pay taxes on all that OpsWare sale stock. Its better to give it away then give it to the government to wage war!

I like the idea of ADFriends - I wonder if Esther has been talking to Doc about VRM?

It would be coolio to see Plaxo bought.  Joseph Smarr deserves it! This is a company that morphed itself in front of our eyes and did the right thing! That was Joseph BTW
