Sorry, but I can't agree that "Without groups it ain’t no social network." But I can't agree with Danah either that it's just profiles and friending. For me Communication is vital or there's nothing to do there (see LinkedIn) except collect names. But I don't want to specify what type of communication is necessary whether it's one-to-one, one-to-few, one-to-many, or few-to-few group discussions. The better and more complete YASNs have all of the above as well as some of the other combinations of One, Few, Many.</description>
