Great welcome blog post - Chris Alden

I guess we’d better make sure that Broadband Mechanics is not a “me too” company - anybody who really knows me should know that’s not an issue

Me too - I want the OPML editor to run on LAMP.

Owen Davis is fabricating stories out of air. When I saw them - Brad and David were good friends.

and sure - I’ll take a new kind of conference in that shake.

Sony has for years been the laughing stock of the on-line media community. Would somebody just fire all those people and just start over!

Congrats to Eric Schonfeld

Socialized Digg gives registered users a reason to register. You mean social can be applied to existing apps - for stickiness. Imagine that!

Somebody please tell Owen Thomas that PeopleAggregator is not a social network for end-users to come to, propagate in and multiply. Its a demo site of our platform - which can be downloaded and run - for your own use. Sites like:

- LetsCricket

- Cyama

- GTChannel

- inzoneU

- portokalada

- socialnetworkwhore

- Utah High school sport

- philosophy-economics

- Familypropos

- mypars

- theclassicpianist

use it. Think of it as open source Ning - download your own system and run it yourself.

And dude - the reason why I fall asleep at conferences - is because they’re boring. And I’m jet lagged from flying all around the world - building social networks for folks.

And oh - my readers helped me fix my typos - that’s one way blogs are different than professional yellow journalists. Yes I mispell words - I’m a human.

And how did he know I lived on a Kibbutz?

Hey, Marc. It’s interesting to see how people use PA. How could I find out how many websites/communities are powered by PA?

I am impressed with People Aggregator - but do have a couple of comments / questions :

    a) PeopleAggregator has blogging as well so how come your own blog here is powered by Wordpress rather than PA ?

    b) Is PA really free to download and use ? Is it licensed under GNU / GPL - last I checked I thought that it was free for personal use (not clear what that means) , but that I have to pay for it if it is used for commercial purposes. In other words - if I download it and set it up on my current website that gets say 10,000 users and run ads on it to make money from the traffic - do I have to then pay for it ??

    Thanks
