The DataSharingSummit wiki is open. We’re asking for $25 - to filter out the ‘voyeurs’ and we’ve got a few sponsors already: Clearspring, Cerado, Leverage and AOL. Kaliya Hamlin will be facilitating. Sept. 7-8 in Richmond, CA - which is near Berkeley. I’ll be blogging on all the proposed topics throughout August - leading up to the event.

Congrats to James Seng on setting his Thymos Capital LLP business incubator in Singapore.

DJ Spooky is in Wired talking about his Trojan Records 40th year anninversary remix.
Congrats to Tucows on their acquisition of ItsYourDomain.com.
Congrats to David Galbraith on becoming on dad - in 5 months!

The Chicago Reader has been sold. My father helped them get started - in 1968. He was a newspaper guy. My grandfather was a newspaper guy. I’ve got printer’s ink in my blood - but it’s digital ink now.
Microsoft is proving once again - they can reinvent themselves and go after ANYBODY.
