Marc's Voice

building the open web one bit at a time

I like this blogging stuff, I’m gonna do some more

The techno is pounding hard in the cafes below - so I’m sitting here in sweltering heat, blogging…..

Lucas Gonze reports that Ning now has music sharing and some nice music player features. I agree with Lucas - music sharing is an essential feature for social networking.

Ning releases Facebook app. Congrats to Gina and Marc. This feature rocks.

Seems that Facebook is THAT company and they’re hiring! I’m using this an example to folks as to how an engineering team of 60 can match a team of 600.

Paul Kedrovsky properly sees the ephemeral-ness of all this Facebook feeding frenzy.  What happened ot Twitter feeding frenzy?  Or MyBlogLog?

Sean Bohan has the same fears as I do about the film version of Neuromancer.

No wonder I can’t get Justin Schaefer to return my calls - he’s making $400M a year.

Read/Write is (as usual) giving us the best overview of what’s out there. This time it’s on-line video editing.

Update/move your webjay playlists to last.fm

Om Malik reports that Slovenia is going deep fiber serious real broadband. Coolio - cause I’m 10 miles from Slovenia and plan to head over there next week.

I think all CEOs should blog.

Paolo’s new site - Nova100 - is totally coolio, check it out. It utilizes Paolo’s earlier k-collector effort - acting as a tag based aggregator on UGC.

Robert Scoble is discovering that Adobe is far from honest or….. well lets just say that’s not surprising.

BTW I’m gonna do the same thing Dave is doing and have both AT&T and COMCAST as my net providers.  Lets see who goes down the fewest and who has the best connection.  We’re pretty far away from the main line n Walnut Creek, so we get pretty shitty connectivity from our DSL line.  Now I get to compare that to a cable modem connection.

And one thing that Dave and I have in common - we’re not old and we’re not done yet.
