Time Stamp: Back from Tokyo, ricochet thru NYC, then back to SF, and onto Amsterdam
Things are getting fun around here.
Now I’ll take my family to Amsterdam - for ‘the Next Web’ conference - and then we move down to Trieste for the summer. Can’t wait to hang out at Tres Merlis and do nothing.
Or BBQ in Paolo’s backyard.
Or show Lisa San Daniele, Muglia and the back alleys of Trieste.
Most of all I can;t wait to get back to Europe - where things are differen, I’m different and we’re the leading white label social networking platform.
Lots of competition here - none there.
Blog post schedule:
- - major post on Facebook’s platform
- - then followup on how important Facebook’s platform is
- - then review of current state of DLAS
- - then a statement on how widgets, twitter (communications) and disparate vendors can get along
- - then fold into that vision - shared public databases (ala Freebase)
- - and then shared directories (ala i-names, Spock, DNS, DMOZ, Wikipedia)
- - then shared microcontent itself (ala Renkoo, Eventful, Yelp, Craigslist, eBay, Zazzle, UpComing, Flickr, iTunes)
- - then how to aggregate the aggregators (ala dabble, Plum, ProfileLinker, Pandora, Last.fm, Feedburner)
- - and include the storage plays (ala YouTube, Xdrive, S3, Gdrive)
That’s my to do list for the next week - from Amsterdam
