Many thanks to all the folks who sent me their best wishes.  I really wanted to get back yesterday - so I could go see my twin sons in “The Wiz” in their high school production.  Jacob starred as ‘the Lion’ and Aron was one of the ‘Yellow Brick Road’s.

It was great.  Mimi and Lucy really delighted in seeing them on stage.

Before the show, we stopped off at the Yahoo Brickhouse open house.  Though I didn’t hear any renditions of the song, I did get to see lots of coolio new things that Yahoo is working on.  Getting my girls to play with Sue Decker’s little girl was also fun - though I don’t think her mom has the slightst idea who I am.

I saw some new Yahoo Widgets - and asked why they continue to call their desktop object widgets, when the whole world refers to Widgets as things that get plugged into one’s web page.  They call those ‘modules’ - and apparently the new MyYahoo has them.

I haven’t been using the new MyYahoo as it gets rid of the one thing I’ve been using in MyYahoo for over 10 years - links on the page.  Hopefully they’ll get a clue and get that back - before they finalize the upgrade.  APIs would be nice as well.

Well anyway - I’m back - I’m feeling better and we’re headed to Vegas tomorrow for Mix07.  I’m going to ask a special favor of my Microsoft friends when I get there.  I haven’t been able to get my laptop to run the latest Windows Media - so I can’t Slingbox!  Hopefully they can help fix my machine - afterall I do SHUN anything from Apple, so I’m ’stuck’ with Windows.

And no - I’m not running a Linux deskop machine!
