So far, so good - econSM social network is live
One of the great things about attending so many conferences and blogging - is that its possible to filter out the real professionals in this business, versus the wannabees and filler. Rafat Ali and Staci Kramer are some real professionals that I respect, read daily and who’s networking events I have attended.
Over 18 months ago when I met Staci in person for the first time (after reading her - for years) we talked about how coolio it would be to have ’social media’ tools for conferences. At the time all Staci wanted was a way for folks who were attending an event - to be able to make appointments with other conference attendees - in a private, protected manner.
Well today her dream was finally answered - as a feature of a full PeopleAggregator install - glued onto the existing econSM web site and event booking system (provided by Eventbrite.) This network is only available to econSM conference ‘participants’ - as we like to call them - so go and sign up and come on April 26th to LA.
My thanks go out to Staci and Rafat (and the rest of the folks at ContentNext) for giving us this opportunity to show off our platform. And it certainly is being shown to the right crowd.

Thanks for all the hard work from you and your team, Marc. Creating a closed business social net is incredibly different from an open social network. We’re glad to have the chance to do it with Broadband Mechanics.
