Prince channels Jimi Hendrix
The Bears lost - we was robbed.
Actually no matter which way it turned out, it is a great way to begin Black History month by having the first Black Afro American coach win the SuperBowl.
Tony Dungy certainly deserves it. And the Indianapolis Colts too.
You can’t win a SuperBowl without Offense and the Bears had none.
The fact that Dungy was the guy who first hired the Bears coach Lovie Smith - makes it even better.
They both appeared in an ad together - and apparently they’re pretty good friends.
The Bears were totally out matched by the Colts and its amazing how far you can go on just your defense. But not far enough.
Meanwhile the half-time show with Prince rocked - and was Prince’s own tribute to Motown, Funk and Jimi Hendrix - the black man who invented hard rock guitar. Very few give Hendrix the credit he deserves - and this added an insider track to Prince’s medley of his best hits.
Prince’s renditions of Purple Rain and All along the Watchtower were tributes to Hendrix in more ways than one.
There were some great ads - which I’ll be talking about later - but in general it was a win well deserved by the Colts. I propose that the Bears get rid of Grossman and trade or buy that Quarterback from LSU with the HUGE hands. Or at least that kid from Notre Dame.
