what would some reactions be , what would some of the happens be of the following ,lets say that a person is able to discover and apply the following discovery worldwide , the discovery is the ability to change the transfer-rate of hydrogen from water, the current rate is about 20 minutes for 1 mile of motion for a car, the discovery would be 15 seconds for each 1 mile for the car , so what would happen to the economy

an ok example of saying that , numbers and letters are secondary to original thinking . look at the person who discovered , faradays lines of force , michael faraday . it is fair to say that he was one of the few people that had the ability of , standing on the shoulders of giants , so maybe it is fair to say he had , 90 % thinking , and 10 % original thinking ,him being an experimental physicist . so who said that a university degree is worth less than a ticket to the movies . to the founder of this site , i have wonder for a distance of time if someday there would be a site maybe by typing in the words original thinking ,they are worth being on four_tuneds letter head ,

I'm sure and ertain that you are an original thinker, Marc. I remember an early conversation or two with you, in 2003, about digital lifestyle aggregators and have watched as much of what you were describing has slowly slid into place.

I'm pretty sure I understood / understand what you meant by DLA's and have tried explaining the concept to people but have stopped .. as I get pissed off (tho' probably not as much as you might) at what seems like an ubiquitous and omnipresent desire by most everyone to have everything be as simple as describing Kleenex.

That said, I personally do not find the concept of DLA's or open standards all that difficult to understand. I am sure that you will continue along your path of original thinking.

What's that saying ... "You can always tell who the pioneers are .. they're the ones walking around with all the arrows sticking out of their backs".

Marc, since I've first heard you speak, there was no doubt you're an original thinker. Now if we can just keep you from falling asleep at bloggercon
