building the open web one bit at a time

BBM IDC

The paperwork ain’t signed yet - but we’ve come to terms with my partners here in India - Gaurav, Ashish and Manish - to create The Broadband Mechanics Indian Development Center.

Lots of details to follow, but lets just say we’re hanging up a shingle, open for business and able to provide a turn-key set fo services and best-of-breed technology - to the entire world.  Just today folks from Hitachi, Portugal and Atlanta stopped by.

I’m lucky as hell to have run into Gaurav, Ashish and Manish.  We’ll all be at the Delhi BarCamp on Saturday.  As soon as we ship V 1.2 of PeopleAggregator - we’ll announce our first rash of paying customers.  Those networks will all go live in Q1 2007.

We’ve alrady signed up one VAR and we’re working on another major reseller deal - which get us started in 2007 with enough breadth to handle all the work we’ve got.  So all you ad agencies, system integrators and folks who build web sites - give us a call!  Training classes will commence by the summer.

This is teh same strategy that made Macromedia into what it was.  A strong developer community - motivated by profit - not altruism - is what makes the world go round.  Its great to sing Kum-baya - but its better to pay the bills and buy your wife and children presents.

We’ve had a great 2006 and 2007 is gonna be like gangbusters!
