End of the week before Turkey Day links

Well at least Judith is staying at AOL.

Facebook has added some coolio new functionality to it’s News Feed feature.

Google adds Events search.  This is what the microformats people have been dreaming of.  But I still think subscriptions and feeds are ALSO an important way to get event information - not just scraping pages.  IMHO.

HBO and AOL hook up.  Hmm - precursor to the Falco takeover?  Could we have seen the writing on the wall?

Yahoo buys Bix.

Curbly, Gather, the rise of ‘close’ social networking with Multiply 3.0 and Vox,

Kaliya points out how much better BaseCamp would be if they supported OpenID.

Fabrik and MyFabrik lite.  Kind of like BrightCove without the shopping cart or commerce.

Desktop based applications are also opening up.  I wonder if Arnaud Leene is making it to LeWeb3?
