Sunday morning rantings

After plowing through 5,000 unread posts - I have come to a conclusion that I still like TV better.

Especially now that COMCAST On-Demand and PVR are working properly.

There’s a constant meoldrama about the blogosphere with this pious air of superiority.  Most of the same old stuff gets regurgitated over and over again, and quite frankly - its just just not very efficient.

Did anyone care about OneWebDay?  Or did that seem like a final fatal grab back to a day of ‘web based activism’?  I mean “what are we celebrating here?  Facebook and YouTube getting sold?  Blogs?  What?”

Conference after conference drag up the same old subjects.  Yes - indeed it does put me to sleep.  I found myself in Amsterdam on a panel called - shudder - ‘Citizen based Journalism!’  HORROR!

I had to slap my face to stay awake!

I find that I can get most of my news from Om, Arrington, Rafat and Dave.  The first three have turned their orgs into finely tuned new age micro-publishing empires and Dave is about to (when?) stop blogging?

I didn’t really miss blogging these past two weeks.

Making my company successful, adding features and functionality to our product and paying attention to football and movies - keeps me busy (*beyond my family*.)

I guess I’m saying - I’m dam bored.  I just read fucking 5,000 posts and I have nothing to blog about. That’s pathetic.  Yahho Hack Day is probably most persistent in my mind.

Will AOL follow up with their own Hack Day?

I’m fascinated with the chess game unfolding, but who cares about selling out and liquidity events?

I’m looking forward to launching some projects, announcing customers and getting back to Europe.  I wanna go back to Asia.  The Blue Angels are flying over SF right now - and all I can think about is Terrel Owens/Cowboys and the Phili Eagles duking it out.
