Stephen Benedict speaking today on Open Web APIs for AIM
Stephen Benedict is speaking today at the Web Guild thingie about the new web based open APIs for AIM. Now anyone can plop AIM into heir web app or service.
Open APIs for AIM is a big deal and we’re about to get involved in baking these APIs into our PeopleAgregator environment, as well as start plaing with new kinds of mashups now possible. Before these APIs only enabled you to connect to the AIM client. But now the whole thing can be done web based.
It’s a shame it took this long - but I still think that Open APIs for AIM are a big deal and can become another cornerstone in the ‘open source infrastructure’ for the next generation Internet.
Plus - Stephen is a really smart guy.
