End of the summer links
It sounds like Randy Morin is also camp fire blogging. Or at least campfire leaving comments.
People are starting to grok what Dave is up to.
Congrats on Apple getting into the movie downloading business. Just not sure why I’d want to watch a movie on an iPod. WalMart apparently doesn’t like this.
Its hard to believe that Microsoft would ever have the gall to complain about somebody stealing their UI. But they did.
Niall has put up his part #1 of a series on Programmed Personal Home Pages. I can’t wait for the series to be complete - so I can start nit picking. :-) Where’s MyYahoo?
I’ll be speaking in London on Sept. 21st and Amsterdam on Sept. 28th.
Ever seen grown people running around naked acting creative? Now you can.
Rafe Needleman is getting into OpenID. A few corrections: Brad Fiztpatrick created OpenID - 1. But the features you talk about - like having a password manager - won’t work without the additional features of OpenID2 - which Dick Hardt’s Sxip and JanRain are contributing to. So it ain’t just Brad - anymore. Finally - guess who ELSE suports OpenID - well your favorite meta-network - PeopleAggregator.
New social networking sites for the past few days: Koolanoo, Social21, a Washington Post one and PartyStrands. And Cory just discovered HiveJive and the notion of a social network with structured content. Now - gee - is there a reason why Cory is ignoring us or is he still pissed off at me for this?
Folks are starting to mashup Second Life. Coolio.
Its confirmed - Yahoo Video is the #1 video site.
Would somebody PLEASE take care of this man - or else he’s going to go where Scoble went - away. What - Live Spaces ain’t successful enough? Who’s getting these bonuses at Microsoft - cause not taking care of my man Dare - is a crime.
Scoble thinks Googlers are more humble and are listening more. Hah! That’s a joke.
Jon Fine has his own conspiracy theory about LonelyGirl15 - one of my favorite YouTubers. But I gotta say that my ALL TIME favorite is theHill88 (from Australia) - where she repsonds to LazyDork who is responding to LonelyGirl. This whole video messaging and responding thing is a trip! Here’s some background on LonelyGirl15.
Now that Web 2.0 is officially owned by Tim O’Reilly lock stock and barrel - I wonder how much he’ll contirbute back “to the community?”

Hey Marc, if you want to mention examples where Google did badly, I’ll pass them around inside the company.
