Vox#5 - Microcontent Publishing = something is better than nothing
Enough has been written here on structuredblogging, microformats and microcontent to shake a stick at. We helped create some open sourc elibraries for Wordpress and Moveable Type - and we’re supporting a full range of microformats in PeopleAggregator - along with the StructuredBlogging interface baked in - as well.
So trust me when I tell yah - I’m a structured content nut.
I pitched Anil, Andrew Anker and Michael Sippey on supporting open standards for microcontent - years ago - and years later - wah lah - it’s arrived!
Unfortunately as of today I’m afraid we don’t really have any microformats for media, while the state of media subscriptions standards is pretty confusing as well.
But remember - I’m all into doing things hardwired - just to get started - and that’s what SixApart has done with their microcontent publishing tools in Vox.

Sure there’s a lot missing, like Events and Reviews - but they’ll get to them - eventually. That’s my bet.
And in the meantime Mena’s mom can now blog photos and have fun with her new camcorder.
Technically I need to go look at the Vox pages and see what tags are in there. Ben and company are pretty nerdy - so I bet there’s ’something’ in there - I just haven’t looked yet.
