A hot night’s links
Needless to say I’d be ecstatic if the world of Personal Identity Mesh reached beyond the 2% I predicted earlier today. Kim Cameron seems to think he’ll get alot more - 100,000,000s. Only someone working at Microsoft could make that statement. Maybe he’s correct.
BTW Have you all read the Laws of Identity by Kim? You wouldn’t think he was a Microsoft guy - when you read it. And Info Cards has implemented all 7 laws.
KickApps - oh goodey, competition. But wait! There’s more. There’s CrowdFactory, SpartaSocialNetworks and Affinity Engines. And I havent seen anything from FiveAcross, SmallWorldLabs or SelectMinds - but they’re out there - too. Rafat is talking about a system WPP invested in called Live World. I wonder if its obvious how we’re (the PeopleAggreagtor) is different. We’re offering source code! Downloads, but just hosted social networks. Build your OWN social network- cheaply, with expert support to back it up.
Sounds like Blip.tv is getting it right.
Good to see Ian Rogers rapping it out.
Congrats to Jason Friedman on keeping it simple and small and STILL getting Jeff Bezos money.
Ted Leonsis has a great post on Underestimating AOL.
30Boxes webtop mashup with GCal, Meebo and Netvibes. NOW we’re talking!

The blurb about Liveworld wasn’t quite right. We’re not a software company — we don’t provide our platform to our customers in the sense of giving them code. We have our own platform that allows us to design, host and manage communities for our clients, which include eBay, AOL, etc.
