Congrats to Jen Consalvo and the team at AOL for pulling this off.

As it so happens Yahoo has also implemented a similar feature (thanks to Matt MacAllister.)

So here’s an idea - wouldn’t it be coolio to connect these two universal BLOG THIS button services - together?

We could define which tool we’d like our posts sent to - with a web service, such as RedirectThis. Then we coudl route our content we wish to blog about - to WordPress, Moveable Type, etc.

Its not that we don’t LOVE Y! 360’s blogging tool or AOL’s Journal tool, but come on - I use Wordpreess and that’s what I wanna use.  I don’t see why Yahoo or AOL would want to ‘lock us in’ - do you?

I predict we’ll have this effort happening by year’s end, maybe by the time that trademarked show struts it’s stuff in November.
