building the open web one bit at a time

Yes - indeed we’re inviting people in now

Jeremy Zawodny is complaining that we’re ’spamming’ people to invite them into our PeopleAgrgegator test.  Or perhaps anotehr way of looking at Jeremy’s statement is “too many Yahosters are inviting each otehr into the PeepAgg and not working hard enough!”  I guess Jeremy has now been promoted to the ‘HR dept’ and is helping to improve Yahoo productivity.

Either way - yes its true - we are now starting to invite people in.

And if you’re wondering where we got your name from - well….

I guess I got their name when they spammed me!

So if you’ve contacted me or spammed me in the past 12-15 years - be prepared to be invited into the PeopleAggregator.
:-)

  1. I’m fairly sure our confidential Metroblogging city mailing lists didn’t contact you in the past 12-15 years so yeah, that’s called SPAM. Glad you’re shipping something but dude, at least don’t tell a bald faced lie about it.

  4. Getting smarmy with a blogger who I know and respect better than I know you is not a gooid way to build trusting relationships.I do not recall giving you my email, yet your email to me implied I had requested it. Having the same login and password for everyone when you are clainming this is a closed beta is also subject to suspicion. I’m not counting you guys out, but I would say you are off to an inaspicious start. I’ll pass on trying yor product out until word of mouth either confirms my suspicions or allays them.

  7. I’m getting invites on e-mail addresses that I haven’t used in many years and e-mail addresses that are auto-response bots. I’m pretty certain nobody would be inviting my bots to People Aggregator. Maybe Bot Aggregator. But that’s another Web 2.0 idea. This is spam. Nothing more. Nothing less.
