Links on this fine Friday
Integration between Box.net, NetVibes and PageFlakes. Coolio!
Web 2.0 Portal? Talk abotu collission of terms! a) we don’t use Web 2.0 anymore b) we stopped using portal 4 years ago. But combining them together is cool, as long as you mention the term DLA (digital lifestyle aggregator) in the same sentence. And send me a royalty check (NO! Just kidding!)
Code.tv - former MTV dudes branch out
Is Meta better? Fred Wilson analyzes Digg and the new Netscape. This dude is smart, too bad he’s a VC. I’ll try not to hold it against him.
Finally got to see the 30Boxes webtop - looks coolio. Thanks Narendra for the heads up.
Brightcove TV - Jeremy Allaire on Charlie Rose.
WinFX is Dead. Long Live .NET Framework v3.0 - yet another change of Microsoft terminology and wording. My - that’s surprising. Thank God Dare still works there or else I may have ot stop caring. With Bill and Scoble gone - it just ain’t the same place.
As always - Dan Farber groks it - thsi time sussing out teh new hormonal shift that’s going on. The real question to me is “when will the tipping point come when ALL social networks HAVE to open up, or face the reaqlity of losing their members?” I predict two years.
We had a great time at Disneyand with Denise Howell and her son.
MommyBuzz - YASNS for mommys (I hate ot say I told you so)
…..and while we’re on the subject - IMBEE is a YASNS for kids. Gee LOTS of folks to join our mesh!
Riya APIs - coolio - add them to the list of folks ot work with.
Bud.com has turned (apparently) into some sort of game. Good to see Justin Hall is alive and kicking (and probably funded by Joi.)
Oh goodey - a social network of avatars funded. Next thing you know the Koreans will be bringing Cyworld over here and Wee World will expand its reach beyond just IM. Oh yah - those are both true.
Happy 40th birthday to Tim Leary’s godson - Joi Ito.
Yahoo hooks up with One.org. Man oh man - one day I’ll have to tell you the story of how Tribe.net walekd away from a deal with One.org (and $1M in cash) - cause they wouldn’t put their Tribe logo above the fold.
