Congrats to Robert and especially John Furrier and PodTech
OK - so now it’s official - Robert Scoble has left Microsoft to go work for John Furrier and Potech.
THis is a photograph of the very moment that Robert found out that the cat was out of the bag. He was standing at the door at Vloggercon telling everyone, naively asking them all to “keep it quiet til Tuesday’.
Well it didn’t work and while we were having Korean BBQ (at Brothers #2 on Geary) we found out that it had been blogged. So here’s Dave Winer showing Robert the post on his smart phone.
NOTE to Robert: the NEXT time you have a big secret - don’t tell everybody and his mother.
What was fun was watching everybody try and get the exclusive.
Needless to say Robert didn’t cover his full bill, but now that he’s in a startup, we’ll sport it to him. Its not like Microsoft was paying him enough - as it was.
FINAL NOTE TO MICROSOFT: The NEXT time you have an individual working for you who personally changes your company, I highly advise you take care of her/him and not treat her/him like shit.
