JD’s burst of words
Lucas is impressed by JD’s resistance to file sharing. I wonder if that has anything to do with Dave Toole’s technolgy - which is a p2p system - that wants to CHARGE for file sharing. Hmmmm.
Well clearly Toole has paid off JD and others, so I’m not gonna go there.
But the continued use of ourmedia - to build his career on and stand on and preach from - is just kind of rude. ourmedia has been rendered irrelvant by YouTube - and yet JD and his cohorts still ride on - preaching to us about the rights of the creative artists.
They also rant on about open standards and support for them - yet when it came to a chance to actually help ESTABLISH and BUILD some standards - all of a sudden the Toole money stops there. He’s willing to charge people for p2p - but not fund ourmedia. Hmmmmmm
Funny - cause I sure think of creating software as my art, and I spent allot of money creating ourmedia - only to have JD take it over and stand on his throne, and preach to us about “my carrer as spokesperson for free storage, citizen artistry and anything video (as long as its story telling)” sure likes to USE this free software - but I still haven’t seen or heard him credit the people who PAID FOR and WROTE said software.
Man - is this Vloggercon gonna be fun!
I may have to take this out to the streets of the Castro and let THEM decide what’s right and true and citizen-like.
