Elaine Dennis sent along this image of her birthday party we had at my house on Potrero Hill - I think it was 1997 or 1998.  That was the year that all the yuppies and dot commers discovered Burning Man.  They all went - I think there were over 50,000 people there - that year.

But I don’t do Burning Man - for a number of reasons I won’t go into here.

Anyway - so me and a bunch of others who were ‘boycotting’ Burning Man decicded we’d do out own Burning Woman - in honor of Elaine’s b-day.  We created a very brittle, crisp straw woman and set her abalze.  It took less than :15 for her to combust.

Meanwhile - always have a running hose of water handy when you set kindling afire.
