Two dinners: Dublin (4/26) and Amsterdam (5/5)
In honor of James Joyce - we will be getting together in Dublin (my 1st trip there) the day before the Web 2.0Ireland seminar with folks like ‘the fixer’, Fergus Burns and maybe Bernie Goldbach. So come one and come all - you Irish blogger nerd types.
Then after the incredible Queen’s Birthday scene - we’ll be convining in Amsterdam at a nice place called the Dim Sum Palace on Friday (5/5.) This dinner is really in honor of BigDave Jacobs and “the other BigDave” Winer - both of whom have their birthdays during thid wonderful time period.
I’m gonna miss both the BigDaves b-days - but I’ll be partying in Amsterdam - thinking of them both. Jacobs is actually gonna be in D.C. with Miles and Steve Case’s Revolution. So if you’re in Amsterdam on the 5th of May - like Don Hopkins will be, maybe we’ll even get Andy Smith to come. And Kjetil and the ever present Aussie Peter Mitchell.
Unfortunately I will not be able to make it down to Trieste on this trip, but hpefully Paolo will make it up to London for the next trip - in the beginning of June. Its Paolo’s birthday coming up too - BTW.

Hey Marc,
Who is organising the get-together the day before in Dublin? Enterprise Ireland or one of the bloggers? I’ll be heading up Wednesday evening for the conference on Thursday so it’d be great to say hello and talk more about Structured Blogging and maybe even The Salt Lick!

I was trying to get Damien Mulley - http://www.mulley.net - to blog about it, since I’m not really a blogger. I’ve also been preoccupied wiith moving back to LA, but we’ll figure something out.

I’m happy to blog it but hopefully Damien will too as he has a “slightly” bigger readership than me. If you send me the details I’ll put them up at argolon.com and conoroneill.com as a hEvent. I’m doing a post for the main conference at the minute.

Darn, I already have my flight booked (from Kerry Airport) for Thursday morning so I’ll have to give the Wednesday night dinner a skip but Fergus is also organizing a dinner for Thursday after the conference so hopefully I’ll meet y’all at that one

Travelling up from cork on the morning of the 27th - will be around for the thursday after-conference dinner.

[…] Fixer asked me to let you all know that one of the doyens of social software and open standards - Marc Canter is coming to Dublin and if you can make it you should dine with the guy on April 26th in the Market Bar. Marc is over for the Web 2.0 conference in Dublin and you should go to that too. Marc’s enthusiasm for everything is infectious and is well worth hanging around the guy and talking about everything and anything. More details from Conor O’Neill. I wish I could go but I have college exams a few days later. Oh yes, and I’ll give good odds to anyone that can party harder than Marc. Check out this podcast of Marc Canter with Tom Raftery. […]

Ehy, I _happen_ to be in Amsterdam that night
Will two dinner in a row be too much? Looking forward to see you,
R.
P.S.: I’d gladly join in the wishes to Paolo for his birthday too.
