Thursday brings a host of Ho Ho Hos
So I go into the DMV (Dept of Motor Vehciles) this morning to register my car and renew my driver’s license. I went at 8 AM to avoid the crowds - usually there are already 100 lined up by that time of the morning.
Well I get there - and there’s not a soul in the place! OH MY GOD! The automation system they put into place - so you can go to a web site and get an appointment - is working! Here I was, walking in “off the street” and nary a line, crowd or ill-tempered, snarily worker around. What a pleasurable exeprience!
My morning posts look like this:
Route of an AOL rumor - to quote an internal AOL list thing morning “the cat is out of the bag” Meanwhile there are 43 comments over at TechCrunch already and Dave Winer always wants to have the last say. But WAIT! ars technica has their own analysis of the idea.
Details of Live Drive are starting to appear. Its great to see Ray Ozzie getting so much done, so quickly.
I agree - a TON of spam is starting to make is past Askimet. This all happened RIGHT when Battelle said he got Askimet working with MT. Hmmm - plot by 6A? News at 4.
Brightcove fleshes out their range of offerings. Now they have Discovery Channel stuff.
Digging corrupted or digging too far?
Google is Yahoo 2.0 - Dare is so insighful sometimes. I totally agree. The onus is on Yahoo to respond with a fully integrated environment. I wonder how Dare sees Microsoft in all this? MSN 4.0? Cairo 12? DCOM 42?
Dare also has another key post called Google Data APIs Protocol. This is important shit to grok. Key protocols for our world. Michael Fagan weighs in on this - as well.
Tara reports from Banglore with her honey.
Paolo thinks we should all subscribe to this Italian feed - which is music - so you don’t have to learn Italian. Mah - io studio Italiano in scuola - per cantere - in modo da so già.
Stay tuned - I’m working on a big piece about IPTV, Interactive TV and DLAs - by the end of today.

[...] Update 2: Marc Canter (one of my favourite bloggers) finds this linkworthy although I’m always amazed at the spellings my name gets. [...]

>Dare is no insighful sometimes.
I dunno if that is meant to be Dare is ’so’ insightful or Dare is ‘not’ insightful.

I agree IRT Askimet, and… you’re right! Hmm? I asked Matt several weeks back if there was any versioning we needed to be aware of but my comment was quickly deleted, go figure.

Why is it news to post about Tara? Does she have some insight? As far as i can tell she goes out of her way to let us all know that she’s dating some guy from Flock. That’s painful enough - i don’t need you linking to her posts about her boyfriend.
