Its official - BloggerCon IV - San Fran - week of June 19 - Dave Winer has announced it - so it will be.  1,000 roaming between offices in the SOMA area - ignoring the hoidy toidy crowd - who will want to come to OUR parties!  I think I’ll hope up at the ‘House of Shields’ and invent Ajax eulogisms.  Call them Borax or Chlorox.

Yah gotta read between the lines when Dave Sifry makes his ’state of the blogopshere’ announcements.  Does this number include MySpace blogs? Or Spaces blogs?  What’s a blog?  Who cares?  When will the echo chamber navel gazing obsession end?

Most importantly - our little Lucy said her name for the first time this weekend.  She’s been ‘baby’ up until now.

Great Jeff Jarvis piece on managing expectations. This could only have been written by someone who’s been through it, and seen the other side.  Life goes on - but why do so many people NOT learn from past mistakes?  One could run an entire consulting company JUST focusing on that!  This is why I never participate in the debate around “what is blogging” or even worse “what is identity?”

Euan Semple announces that Matt Mower is moving over to PAOGA?  Matt claims this is NOT a YASNS.  So now I have to figure out what it is.

Looks like JotSpot is finally finding a niche.  Family sites!  As any reader of this blog will attest - I am HEAVILY into family oriented aggreators, web servcies and social networks.  Anything designed for the family - is a good thing.
