But Valleywag just loves to spread rumors - almost as much as Om Malik and Rafat Ali like to scoop each other, with TechCrunch giving them a run for the money.

Me - I put my bet on someone named Kerry Parkins - who is quietly and diligently making a lot of things happen - on the inside at AOL/AIM.

This whole AOL gets into the game thing - is huge.  AIM APIs are just the beginning.

Shawn Carnell and Kevin Lawver are showing off IamAlpha.com at Etech.  When you see those ‘coolio’ eBay, Amazon, NetFlix, del.icio.us, MySpace and Network for Good modules - guess who created them?
