The SuperBowl through a British filter
So I happen to be over here in London and caught the SuperBowl last night on ITV1.
Amazing how different of an experience it is - watching on British tele! Instead of ads costing $2.5 for :30 they cost $42,000 and they couldn’t even sell any! No mention of the game in this mornings papers and most people never even heard of the bloodey thing!
Instead of John Madden - I had to listen to British accents and the most painful part was them filling up all the dead time while YOU blokes got to watch the ads. I know I can catch the ads on the web, and the Rolling Stones were just are boring over here as there.
One funny thing was that they were constantly having to explain the rules - especially with all the bad calls by the officials. But it’s not like I understand all the British football rules over here.
Anyway - just thought I’d throw out a shout out to my American homies. Too bad the Microsoft team lost. Maybe next year Sergey and Larry will own a team - too.
