Public courtships
Jay Dedman and Ryanne Hodson are in love.
They met on-line, they flirted and got to know each other through their video blogs and now they live together in Harlem. Jay calls it ‘collaboration’.
I met them both - apparently right after they got together. It was during a snow blizzard in NYC last January.
They’re having their one year anniversary - while I should point out that my wife and I met on Match.com and we totally forgot about our fifth anniversary this year.
I was in London, she was running around being a Mom - raising our two daughters - which never would have been concieved if it weren’t for Match.com.
Anniversaries and paychecks keep marching on, roofs are still over our collective heads and Jay and Ryanne discovered a new way to pubicly ‘collaborate.
My wife doesn’t blog much, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love her TOTALLY and embrace every picadillo, nuance and essense that makes her who she is. We collaborate in our own way.
So congrats to Ryanne and Jay. May you keep collaborating into your own “goo goo, gah gahs”.
