Coolio Open Multimedia Toolkit done in Laszlo
It’s called KToon and its from a company called Coliencias. They’re from Columbia.
Lord knows I’ve been waiting for this sort of stuff for a long time. This is yet another reason why I love Laszlo.

Here’s how Bryan Rieger introduced them to me:
Basically, it’s a group in Columbia that wants to create an open alternative to proprietary creativity tools (Flash, Expression, etc), specifically focused on interactive multimedia creation. What really might be of interest to you is that they have decided to use OpenLaszlo’s LZX as the underlying language for the platform. They’re currently looking for help/input from interested programmers and users - any chance you as the ‘great-grand-daddio’ of multimedia might be able to generate some traffic/interest for them?

Thanks Marc ! Thanks to your post I have discovered a new high tech perspective on the country of my origin ! Following your links, it seems to me that Colciencias is not actually a company but a governmental agency for the development of science and technology in Colombia. While Parquesoft, which figures on the KToon project site, is a software technology parc based in Cali. This is really exciting because Cali is also the capital of Salsa in Colombia, and I’m as big on Salsa as Software !
I will be reaching to these folks to learn more about their projects and to talk to them about XWiki !
