Old memes, corrections and the pervasiveness of mistakes

Monday, December 26th, 2005

One of the things Mena Trott brought up at Les Blogs is that mistakes get indexed into Google just as much as truth does.
Take this case in point:
- Jeff Jarvis flamed Yahoo because he thought his email account had been deactiviated.
- Om Mailk picks up teh story with the quote: “Old girlfriends and stray dogs […]

I am also looking forward to next year

Richard MacManus is looking forward to seeing what Microsoft will do next year.
Me too.
These folks aren’t going to take Google lyigng down and they have the resources, power and might to counteract the new ‘Netscape’.

This just in from Reuters:

Sinead O’Connor
By Frank Scheck
NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Although the spectacle of a waifish, doe-eyed, shaven-headed white woman singing roots reggae might be incongruous, Sinead O’Connor overcame any reservations in her concert Friday night at New York’s Webster Hall.
Forgoing her past material to concentrate solely on Rastafarian-themed numbers, including every song […]

Latkes and Schicksas

Thursday, December 22nd, 2005

This little word actually caused a lot of problems between me and the author. The S one - not the L one.
I noticed that he changed the icon from Andy Kaufman to some real pancakes.
I myself would have put in chicken fat (schamltz) and a little griveness. And S & P of […]
