End of the year recap

It’s been a hell of a year. I don’t like traveling so much, so I try and take my family along every third trip. That includes monthly trips to London.

We helped create and launch two major efforts this year:

- ourmedia.org
and
- StructuredBlogging.org

We missed our ship dates on our other projects, but they’ll appear Q1 2006, along with a few announcements and associations which should make it clear to folks what Broadband Mechanics is all about.

I’ve been trying to speak on the notion of open source infrastructure and trying to engage developers in the notion of open APIs to interconnect social networks together. We call those APIs - the ‘PeopleAggregator APIs’ and we’re actively developing them now - as we speak.

With no funding I may add. We don’t believe in anything but good old fashioned bootstrapping.

I’ve had one company taken away from me - and I really believe that’s why they turned into the devil’s servants. So I’ll never let that happen again to my ideas.

So to all of you - go for it - live your dreams, change the world and stand up to stupidity and say “NO! You’re wrong! That’s not how we do it nowadays!”
