Playing catch up - again

I love the notion of Media Center sanbox.

John Gilmore is an old friend. His court case is starting to get going - where he’s suing the US government. Gilmore vs Gonzales.

Howard Stern has a special Y! 360 profile. This sort of celeb profile page is what I pitch all our clients. And special group pages as well.

Congrats to Thomas Vanderwal - Folksonomy is an ‘idea of the year’.

Reprogramming Microsoft and the GoogleNet PC

Reminder to self - explain Structured Bogging to Arnaud Leene.

Tribe.net (an old client) gets into self censorship.

Yahoo Answers - pretty fucking coolio.

Top Mobile gaming company - Jamdat - sold to EA for $680M.

Richard Branson is into four-play.

Folks are still discovering Identity 2.0 (meanwhile Sxip went REST.)

  1. I had been “cloaking” for a year and a half because I was working on a project for my employer which was just a little too close to this (the project closed without launching anything so…).
One need to take care not to step on the wrong toes.
But yes - i think that Identity 2.0 is a cool idea.

BTW: Thomas’ term Folksonomy which was - as I recall it - first discussed on the SIGIA-L list or the AIFIA list, hitting with Dan Pink!? I read his book “Free Agent Nation” a few months ago - being reminded of the article of the same name that once appeared in Fast Company - to which I subscribed years ago when I was a Free Agent myself.
The world is small and weird. I love it!
