Buddha, Scott Godin, balance and sweet spots

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

I didn’t realize Evelyn Rodriguez was a Buddhist (or that she sure must know allot about it) - but she’s got some heavy stuff culminated together in her post on Seth Godin’s ‘Local Max’.
Anyway Evelyn has a shitload to say. And she’s always smiling too.
And me - I’m not a Buddhist either - but [...]

ourmedia 50,000th member

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

JD is all excited about the 50,000th member joining ourmedia.org.
He’s also got Jeff Kowalski scripting some coolio lists.
What’s next - stable infrastructure and no more crashing Drupals?

I wonder if JD is charging anyone for being a member of the advisory council? The .org sure needs money and I’m not sure what all [...]

Sxore from Sxip

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

I forgot to blog about a commenting engine from Sxip Networks called Sxore.
I am highly in favor of anything built on top of the Sxip Networks identity platform and we intend on utilizing Sxip in everything we build.
This new blog will definitely get Sxore-d.

OK - we’re officially done hiring - for the moment.
I’ll do an official sound-off, body count later on - during the holidays - but for now let’s say that we’ve got an awesome team assembled and we’re about to change the world.

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

Doc Searls has helped put together the upcoming Syndicate conference.

We will be using this year’s conference as a launching pad for Structured Blogging.org V2 and I’ll be doing a panel on Compound Feeds, Micro-content and the Future of Syndication.
It should be a good show.
Come one, come all [...]

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

Speaking of Matt MacAllister - he’s got a public request that I’d like to pass along.
In his post Mainstreaming RSS subscription user interfaces- Matt brings up the research results that Yahoo has dsicovered and verified on the whole issue of what to name these little subscribe chiclets.
We ran into a similar problem when trying to [...]

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

He’s schmozing wunderkid Matt Mullenweg, he’s embracing his wife’s blog and he’s doing sushi today at my favorite sushi place - Ebisu.
But he’s gonna find that even the famous Robert Scoble won’t have enough room for all the peeps who are gonna show up there. ’specially since Winer blogged it.
I’ll run into Robert and [...]

Structured Blogging is coming

For those of you who care - here’s the UI we’re using for Structured Blogging.
You’ll notice a bunch of new kinds of micro-content in there.
This will go live Dec. 13th as a Wordpress and Moveable Type plug-in. We’ll then followup with Drupal, Mambo, Xanga, Ruby on Rails and .Net and Java versions. Maybe [...]
