Dare’s account of our workshop

If yah wanna know what happened during our workshop - Dare Obasanjo has an excellent recant.

I thought it went pretty well.

I had to interupt and veer a few times - but that’s what a moderator is suppsoed to do. And I didn’t toot my own horn - too much at least.

What was most exciting to me - was that at last year’s conference - where the notion of ‘open source infrastructure’ first popped to my mind, I shared the docket with Jason Fried - who was talking about doing ’small things’.

Our room was the smallest one - and it was overflowing.

This year we had the largest room and it was overflowing - again. And we weren’t the only ones talking about this subject - as Dick Hardt’s “Identity 2.0′ workshop was going on - simultaneously in another room, Joshua Schacter talked about tags earlier and Mary Hodder talked about video - later.

All of these areas will be involved in open source infrastructure - somehow. JD Lasica was up to his usual best - hustling and following up - looking for funding for ourmedia.

Right on - JD!

Now back to the conference. I just love taking the BART to a conference!
